Graceful Indulgence

I have this huge wellness business starting in January.  Its all I prayed about, dreamed and hoped for, guidance and opportunity coupled with hard work, focus and determination; my wish was granted by something much greater than myself! All the stars aligned, and it has been amazing thus far.  I am finally and legitimately embarking on my second career as I enter grad school for a masters in nutrition.  This is the beginning of a Wellness & Nutrition Clinic I will eventually open called – Graceful Indulgence.  It is my goal to teach the world- men, women and children alike to indulge gracefully in everything they do specifically eating.

Now I get to my point….in doing this, I have decided that I should live this as a lifestyle 100%. Well you know, as 100% as a real human being can.  I can’t just talk about it and not be about it, can I?  Case in point, I am always preaching the importance of a food/eating journal with an exercise log, I should also keep the same journal I am asking to be kept shouldn’t I?  I think so, no wait I do’t think so – DAMN RIGHT I should!  Today is the beginning of my online public food journal and workout log.  Each night or each morning depending on how the previous day went, I will be exposing myself and what I have consumed, every sip, every morsel.  I consider this my personal but public accountability.  EEEEK!!!  It makes me real nervous but I would only be doing myself a disservice if I was not open and honest about my consumption, whether its under, over or someplace in between.

Feel free to join me. A public journal is a bit risqué in my opinion so perhaps you don’t start here, just start.  Especially if you have been conscious of weight your ENTIRE life like me.  I am the text book definition of weight conscious, believe me. Matter of fact if I wasn’t as level headed and practical as I am I would probably have had an eating disorder; either anorexic, bulimic, chronic exerciser, habitual dieter or a combination of all 4!

At worst case, join me here by reading and you are welcome to post comments to my blog. Overall I have learned a lot about food in my lifetime from production to consumption and am a wealth of knowledge.  What I post here will probably be better than most peoples eating environment and you just may learn a thing or two.

Stay tuned for more…this is only the beginning.

Kimberly
