Day 34

January 1st 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Workout – none.  Gonna take these next 2 days off.  Monday morning I begin to get me fitness level back up to par.  I would not be surprised if I do not work out 7 days in a week.

Breakfast – Boiled egg, walnuts, honey crisp apple with sea salt.

Lunch – skipped

Dinner – Mexican food!!!  Chicken Quesadilla, beans, chips with queso, pico de gallo.  Last Mexican meal for the next 28 days or more.  Actually I may eat Mexican but my choices will be limited to all corn based, no wheat/flour tortilla, no cheese.  I can eat fajitas with corn wraps, no rice just pico and salsa and chips (a few).  I still must watch my caloric intake while on cleanse.

Champagne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We had our celebratory drinks Saturday instead of Friday on New Years Eve. 1 Margarita at the Mex spot.

Day 31

Workout – Zumba!!!  Move your hips round and round!  I also walked around Discover Mills twice, this was a mini work out too!  That place is HUGE with all kinds of bad stores I have NEVER heard of!  I was making a tiny trip to Off Saks 🙂

Breakfast – been kinda lazy the last few days just drinking whey with flax.  Did the same today.

Lunch – Bolthouse protein drink.  First time trying this (courtesy of my husband) these are pretty good!  Was enough to hold off appetite until dinner time!  Will not be against having these every now and again for lunch.

Dinner – Collard greens, a bid ole bowl!!  2 baked chicken wings with a drizzle of bbq sauce. Sliced apple sprinkled with sea salt. The big finish – I had a hand full of corn chips and popcorn.

Day 29

Workout – I am back!  Intervals on treadclimber…45 minutes.  Lift heavy weights, ab work and incline push-ups.

Breakfast – Whey protein shake.  I feel SO HEAVY from the holidays.  I didn’t over do it per se, just been off track for a while so my body is feeling it. I am going to use this week to prep my body for next weeks detox, it starts on Jan 3rd for me and I am really looking forward to cleaning out my body for maximum performance.

Lunch – skipped and went straight to dinner! 2 baked chicken wings with a drizzle of bbq sauce, big bowl of collards with smoked turkey for seasoning.

Dinner – stayed tuned…..going to watch the Falcons play the Saints on Monday night.  The food and beverage choices will be interesting to say the least.

Day 28

Workout – none. Day after Christmas. Will get back on this week. Enjoy your time off. Enjoy the holidays and the food.

Breakfast – Eggs with cheese. Beef sausage, xmas ham & grits.

Dinner – left overs from xmas, exact same things as yesterday. And dessert. Brownie and vanilla ice cream. Cider and red warmed. Nightcap. Yummy. I am getting all the goodies in….detox coming soon!  I have a week left of this eating style, then it gets revamped! I am ready to cleanse out my body – NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS FIT FEELS.  Nothing.

Day 27

Workout – none. Merry Christmas!!

Breakfast – none. Wake and bake! Then a few bites of a pomegranate, green beans, and tea.

Lunch – left over chinese food. Tea. Apple cider and johnny walker red, warmed. Was great.

Dinner – collard greens, ham, turkey, chicken wings, mac n cheese cole slaw. Excellent. More apple cider and red. Very very good.

Day 26

Lunch – not much again. Ricework brown rice chips. 2 mardi gras wings.

Dinner – Chinese food, gtchicken. White rice. Bad day. Bad day. Margarita on rocks salt. Dark chocolate Peanut butter cups from trader joes. Few cups of tea, green, detox and herb.

Day 19

Workout – off day.

Breakfast – vegan protein shake small piece of banana, 5 frozen strawberries, 18 fresh blueberries, half cup mixed berries. Tablespoon flax seeds, coconut milk water. Paleogreens and 20 oz water.

Lunch – carrot sticks, ranch dressing (individual size) 4 lemon pepper wings baked. 16 oz water. More water.

Dinner – mexican – chicken and steak quesadilla ate half. Beans and pico de gallo. Excellent. Two margaritas on the rocks w salt. Lettuce and tomato. Chips salsa queso. Great.

Day 18

Work Out – Off Day…hips seems to feel better but I am still not sure so am not doing any extra exercise other than my normal stuff. Hot yoga will help lubricate and stretch, hope to make it on Saturday afternoon. Hopefully its not inflammation, heat is not good for that!  Never soak in a hot tub after a car accident or anything like that.  It feels good but its not a good look.  ICE is the key.

Breakfast – You know the drill, berry vegan protein shake. Still put in a piece of banana because it was getting soft! I would not have on a day with out a workout, or at least try not to. I seem to eat this more often than not.  I figure I can control my breakfast 100% by blending it with tons of good healthy clean foods full of nutrient value and antioxidants.  It sweet so it clears and sweet tooth cravings I may have early in the day.  Its also filling.

Lunch – Had a shot glass of a goji berry shake…was at the Pilate studio where I will be doing one of my detox classes and tried a taste. Was good.  Had all kinds of stuff in it, ALL super foods like pomegranate powder,  palm sugar, agave, bee pollen, fresh raw honey form a local bee farmer, sun warrior protein powder which is vegan, frozen strawberries and a couple other things I am forgetting I am sure. Eventually had 3 lemon pepper wings, baked and a few carrot sticks dipped in ranch dressing (just a little).

Dinner – left over quinoa, shrimp, carrots,  broccoli, garlic, scallions form yesterday.  I have enough left for one more day. Was GREAT the second day!

Day 17

Still blogging my food journal.  This becomes a habit after a while they say…still trying to figure out when though.

Workout – Zumba class…class was amped today.  Great group of folks movin and shakin.

Breakfast – Old faithful vegan protein shake again. The exact same way I make it all the time but with a small piece of a banana.  I am out of fiber so have been missing this but must add it back especially when I have sugar, albeit natural sugar, in my shakes.  I was quiet tasty as always and very filling.  Have also still been leaving out the walnut (acts as my fat).  Holidays are hear and I want to avoid any unwanted pounds by cutting them on the normal things and adding them with so treats I may have.

Lunch – Whole can of Amys chunky tomato soup, gluten free organic. Sliced honey crisp apple.

Dinner – organic quinoa cooked in unsweetened coconut milk and turkey stock, garlic and red pepper/sea salt. Added raw shrimp, broccoli, carrots and scallions and more fresh garlic and steamed. Topped with a swirl of organic agave nectar. EXCELLENT!!!  2 glasses of Moscato.  They say a minimal to moderate drinker of spirits live longer than one who doesn’t. Something about the affect of alcohol on the heart in a positive way. Good news for me, LOL!

Note – Quinoa is really good for you.  I will post some stuff soon on what it is, where it comes from and why its good for you…stay tuned!
