Day 80

Workout – Zumba.  Class was great!!  Learned a new routine, always challenging!  I bet I will be a little sore tomorrow. Love it when you can work out and not feel like you are. Ladies, please try Zumba and belly dancing!!

Breakfast – Same ole’ same ole’. Vegan protein shake, strawberries, flax seeds, hemp seeds, hemp milk, fiber water. Blend!

Lunch – leftovers: quinoa, broccoli and shrimp.

Dinner – Small green apple, medium bowl of my homemade chili!! UMMMMMM good.

Day 79

I am trying my best not to fall off keeping this food journal.  I am behind so am trying to catch it up by digging in the crates of my mind to remember what the hell I ate. Bare with me!

Workout – Kick boxing class.  I kinda lallygagged around today but I worked a tiny sweat. Any sweat is better than none!

Breakfast – Protein shake. Vegan…you know the drill.

Lunch – HUGE salad. Romaine and spinach, olives,  Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, red, yellow and green peppers, red onions and green onions, radishes. Cider vinegar, olive oil, sea salt, bragg amino. Green apple and an orange.  BIG lunch today.

Dinner – I couldn’t eat all my salad so I finished it for dinner. Also made quinoa, broccoli and shrimp. You should ask me for the recipe!

Day 76

Detox day 41/28.  Boom last day. Piece of cake.

Workout – Zilch – was nice out too.  Tomorrow will be nicer.

Breakfast – Boiled egg, 2 sausage links, tiny salad.

Lunch – few forks of my famous chili, Lol and some sweet potato chips.

Dinner – California Pizza Kitchen, Caesar salad with blackened shrimp. Balsamic dressing on the side, used oil and vinegar. Few corn chips with spinach dip (do not think this was cleanse worthy but hell its my last day!) POW.

Day 75

Day 40/27 of detox…went out last night…still no liquor, Voss.

Workout – none

Breakfast – Shake, strawberries and black berries, flax seeds, hemp milk, hemp seeds, last bit of detox powder. Almost done – one day left.

Lunch – 3 baked wing drums. Lame!

Dinner – Olive Garden.  Did you know the had a gluten free menu? Yup they do! Had soup and salad though. Salad is on the gluten free menu, no croutons. Minestrone soup – has pasta shells but I order mine all broth and veggies. I was great!  Been a while since I had been there.

Day 74

Day 39/26 of detox….today is Thursday February 10th and I am two  days away from be done. Just in time for the weekend. Good news (for me that is) I decreased my body fat by 2.2% in the last 39 days and lost 5 pounds. I would have lost more if I had been on my regular warm weather regimen. I was not trying to lose weight but its unavoidable while detoxing, its a side effect of cleansing. I ONLY care about body fat % and fat mass, not pounds.

Workout – Off day….but I washed my hair and that is a work out by itself!!

Breakfast – Blackberry shake

Lunch – Small portion of quinoa, shrimp and broccoli.  2 baked wing drums randomly in the work fridge, a peach and a few bites of a fruit cup I had.  HUNGRY today.

Dinner – A few walnuts, medium cucumber, 5 large cooked shrimp, cider vinegar and olive oil. 2 baked wing drums,

Day 73

Day 38/25….3 more days and its bottoms up. 😉

Workout – ZUMBA!!  Class was packed today. Good times.

Breakfast – back to old faithful.  Ok confession…I only used the peach because it was going bad and I did not want to waste it. BUT the chocolate is on the horizon.  Prefer it at night.

Lunch – 3/4 of a Protein shake.  I teach a nutrition class on Wednesdays so I do the best I can with the eating, that all one could ask!

Dinner – 1/4 of a Protein shake and some quinoa, shrimp and broccoli.  A really small portion. Tiny.

Day 72

Day 37/24…..and the countdown continues.

Workout – Kick boxing class.  Not too crowded today so I was able to focus on the students more. They hate it when I am not busy, they can’t cheat!

Breakfast – SURPRISE…I had a peach vegan protein shake!! I told you I would switch it up on your one day, LOL. Same stuff in the shake except the fruit. I finally got my chocolate protein in so I will be able to make a chocolate delight!

Lunch – I forgot my lunch today soooo I had to pick something up.  Decided on a medium salad from Publix, romaine, olives, Roma tomatoes, bragg amino, cider vinegar and olive oil. For protein I had baked lemon pepper wings from the hot foods side of deli. They are the dry kind not with all the fattening and inflammatory sauce, prepared like the Mardi Gras wings that I love. I could actually eat chicken everyday. Prefer free range chicken that is fed grass! You should too.  EAT ORGANIC as often as possible. Disclaimer: I like the kind with sauce too! Just not while on a cleanse and in moderation.

Dinner – A small serving of cabbage, serving size of some almonds and raisins…here I go wit this crap again. Oh and my detox drink.  Almost over.

Day 71

Day 36/23 of detox.  Just as a reminder, I screwed up my detox so I started over.  I am using both days on my log because I kept eating clean but not on the correct schedule so I want to keep track of how long I did it right and how long I was on it altogether. 5 days to go!! Looking forward to that tequila.

Workout – Off Day

Breakfast – Shake——-you know the drill! Vegan protein shake.

Lunch – large honey crisp apple, cleanse drink with fiber.  My cleanse drink has protein in it so I’m good!

Dinner – half cucumber cider vinegar olive oil bragg and 3 baked Mardi Gras wing drums.

Day 70

Day35/22 of Detox…moving right along. 6 days left, yippee!

Workout – SLACKER!!  Lol.  Guess that should say enough.

Breakfast – Rise and shine!!  Woke up to a wonderful protein shake.

Lunch – Skipped it.  Had 2 baked wing drums.  Keep these around! This way I always have some protein in the crib.

Dinner – steamed quinoa, broccoli and shrimp mixed and cooked in one skillet. Cooked in olive oil, bragg, fresh garlic, sea salt and cayenne pepper. AMAZING. Just ask me for the recipe!

Been on a nuts and raisins kick again, especially at night.  Trying my best not to snack but its been hard this go round.  Only healthy snacks but the calories start to add up after a while no matter how healthy. Working on doing better!

Did you know?

Attention Athletes! Ditch the sugary, fluorescent, artifically colored sports drink for a healthy version that will keep you hydrated on your long workouts:

Mix coconut water, coconut milk, and fresh pineapple juice (amounts vary depending on taste) and enjoy! FYI: Coconut water has more potassium than a banana. Drink up!
