Day 57

Day 22 of detox…since I do not actually say what day of the week it is when I type my food journals, its hard to actually know when all this is taking place.  I do this because I may skip a day or two and come back to blogged them all to catch up. Today is Monday, January 24th 2011. The month is flying by!

Workout – Off day…I can not wait until the weather starts to change. I am getting cabin fever and am ready to workout in the park. There is nothing like it!

Breakfast – Well 2 shakes per day started today.  Soooo, guess what I had?  A vegan protein shake!!  LOL. But now I begin to add in some additional supplement support for the active cleansing of my organs. How fun!  The supplement doesn’t taste bad, my shakes taste the same.

Lunch – Orange with a little sea salt and a few collard greens w/smoked turkey.

Dinner – Same shake like breakfast.  I made a double serving to eat after I taught my nutrition class.

Day 56

Day 21 of Detox….Big football games today. Would normally be having a huge margarita with heavy liquor but I am staying o n track!

Workout – None

Breakfast – Vegan protein shake

Lunch – Had a flat tire from last night so lunch was rough.  Dealing with getting a tire plugged! Grabbed a couple baked chicken wing drums out the fridge and that is all!

Dinner – Mexican!! One of the many kinds of food you can find gluten free.  Seafood fajitas!! Pico and fresh salsa 2 corn tortillas. Water with lemon.  Quite tasty!

Day 55

Day 20 of Detox.  This cleanse is going to last a long time if I keep this up. I am finally on week 2…go figure.  BUT I am on the ball following it like I should.  well except for the meals I am skipping, that is NOT part of the plan and do not follow my lead. I should only have 8 days left.  NOT! I have20 left.

Workout – Zumba party!  Hours of dancing, what a great idea! Big fun…they had organic wine and all.  I refrained form it though…I am detoxing remember, NO alcohol allowed.

Breakfast – the usual shake.

Lunch – baked chicken.  ( ate this in an effort not to skip a meal, GO Kim!

Dinner – a few spicy shrimp at the Zumba party and some Ginger Tuna. Just a little, not a meal.  Ate collard greens and a piece of smoked turkey when I got home.

Day 54

Day 19 of Detox….

Workout – Off day in place of yesterday.  Plus I am rocking my “real” hair and I have to workout around it looking halfway decent!! My advice is do not let your hair make you fat!

Breakfast – boiled egg, beef sausage and regular sausage. Small honey crisp apple.

Lunch – skipped.  OOPS!!  Bad move.

Dinner – Collard Greens and baked chicken…smooth and easy!

Day 53

Day 18 of Detox…

Workout – Taught an abs, arms and butt class mixed with a little Pilate’s what fun!  LOL.  It was actually a great class I can feel it a little today.

Breakfast – Shake…you  know the drill.  Check my past blogs if not!

Lunch – Cucumbers, tomatoes, cider vinegar, evoo and sea salt. Oh and a dash of amino’s.  3 baked wing drums. Small green apple.

Dinner – gyro meat on top of lettuce, tomatoes, olives, green peppers, onions, jalapeños and cucumbers.

Plenty of water throughout the day!!

Day 52

Day 17 of Detox…..

Workout – Zumba!!!  Great class today, we learned some new moves to some new songs…that Samba step moves super fast!

Breakfast – Protein shake…same as yesterday.  And the other days!!

Lunch – I basically skipped it…had 2 apples.  One small green and one small honeycrisp.

Dinner – Collard greens and baked chicken wing drums.  Greens cooked with smoked turkey meat.

Day 51

Day 16 of Detox…

Workout – I am back!!!  Had an amazing workout, kick boxing class was great.  Downloaded 3 apps on my phone, abs, butt and arms.  I will be doing these as well for toning.  They are 5 minute mini workouts…no real excuse not to be able to do them anywhere!

Breakfast – protein shake, fiber, flax, hemp milk, berries….very good.

Lunch – Huge salad, olives, tomatoes, green and red peppers, red onion, spinach, green leaf and romaine lettuce, carrots, radishes. 3 baked chicken wing drums. Small sliced honey crisp apple.

Dinner – collard greens, okra.  Medium bowl.  2 wing drums, baked.

Day 50

Happy Martin Luther King Day!!  I hope you tried to somehow help someone today.  Maybe you did something to help yourself, that qualifies too.  Day 15 of Detox.  Back 100%, as if I am just starting again.  I am not starting over just continuing. And feeling good along the way. I think not drinking liquor alone has me euphoric, too much alcohol is not good for you but MAN does it taste good!

Workout – None, busy busy day.  No real excuse because I did have a good 30 this morning to exercise. I f’d that one up!!

Breakfast – Strawberry & blueberry vegan protein shake, fiber, flax, water, coconut milk.

Lunch – Lentil soup Amy’s brand, sea salt, 2 oz. roasted turkey breast cup and put in the soup.

Dinner – Berry Shake, with all the normal stuff including fiber. Took detox support tabs AM and PM.

Day 49

Day 14 of Detox…back to normal tomorrow.  Looking forward to getting back to the daily routines I have become accustomed to. I have been able to make excuses the last week, play time is over.

Workout – none

Breakfast – Protein shake, strawberry, fiber, flax, vanilla vegan powder,

Lunch – Skipped

Dinner – 1/2 sweet potato, 6 baked wing drums, 1/2 cucumber and 1 Roma tomato. Walnuts and raisins. Last day for these!!! No more after dinner snacks. I will finally get back on my game and do this right.  I am only failing myself if I don’t. Also no more skipping meals.  Will have a shake prepared even if it is a small on so that I do not skip past 6 hours and not have one at all.

Day 48

Day 13 of detox…I am still passively detoxing.  I have not began to include the active organ supplements.  I am basically eating as clean as I can 100% of the time.  I am not drinking, eating any fructose, sugar etc.  I am also not eating any gluten, soy or dairy. I will ultimately begin to take it up a notch on my detox and get my eating schedule on track as well as taking the supplements accordingly. I will start the detox support tabs tomorrow.

Workout – None

Breakfast – Shake, berries, flax, coconut milk, vanilla vegan protein powder.

Lunch – Skipped

Dinner – sauteed green beans in garlic, roasted turkey breast and some almonds and raisins.
