Day 50

Happy Martin Luther King Day!!  I hope you tried to somehow help someone today.  Maybe you did something to help yourself, that qualifies too.  Day 15 of Detox.  Back 100%, as if I am just starting again.  I am not starting over just continuing. And feeling good along the way. I think not drinking liquor alone has me euphoric, too much alcohol is not good for you but MAN does it taste good!

Workout – None, busy busy day.  No real excuse because I did have a good 30 this morning to exercise. I f’d that one up!!

Breakfast – Strawberry & blueberry vegan protein shake, fiber, flax, water, coconut milk.

Lunch – Lentil soup Amy’s brand, sea salt, 2 oz. roasted turkey breast cup and put in the soup.

Dinner – Berry Shake, with all the normal stuff including fiber. Took detox support tabs AM and PM.

Day 49

Day 14 of Detox…back to normal tomorrow.  Looking forward to getting back to the daily routines I have become accustomed to. I have been able to make excuses the last week, play time is over.

Workout – none

Breakfast – Protein shake, strawberry, fiber, flax, vanilla vegan powder,

Lunch – Skipped

Dinner – 1/2 sweet potato, 6 baked wing drums, 1/2 cucumber and 1 Roma tomato. Walnuts and raisins. Last day for these!!! No more after dinner snacks. I will finally get back on my game and do this right.  I am only failing myself if I don’t. Also no more skipping meals.  Will have a shake prepared even if it is a small on so that I do not skip past 6 hours and not have one at all.

Day 48

Day 13 of detox…I am still passively detoxing.  I have not began to include the active organ supplements.  I am basically eating as clean as I can 100% of the time.  I am not drinking, eating any fructose, sugar etc.  I am also not eating any gluten, soy or dairy. I will ultimately begin to take it up a notch on my detox and get my eating schedule on track as well as taking the supplements accordingly. I will start the detox support tabs tomorrow.

Workout – None

Breakfast – Shake, berries, flax, coconut milk, vanilla vegan protein powder.

Lunch – Skipped

Dinner – sauteed green beans in garlic, roasted turkey breast and some almonds and raisins.

Day 45

Day 10 of Detox!!!!  Day 3 of Winter Storm 2011. This is a pitiful little storm that no one can seem to dig us out of, my fellow Clevelanders would be offended!

Workout – NONE.  One day this workout train is going to make a pit stop here and pick me up. The winter weather blues is REAL!  Thank GOD for the detox.  Clean eating will see me through, LOL.

Breakfast – Skipped it and went straight to lunch.

Lunch – Vegan protein shake…Berry kind that I always make.  Its my go-to meal!  Get used to it. I am attempting to venture out today and see how the roads are…wish me luck!

Dinner – Wild Alaskan Cod cooked on top of stove in coconut oil, 1/2 sweet potato, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower steamed.

Day 44

Day 9 of Detox!! Day 2 of the Winter Storm 2011, or some crap like that the news is tagging it! This is a joke of a storm and this silly city has not been able to get the roads moving like they should have.  They have been talking about this storm for a week prior and still caught off guard and has major business closed? Ridiculous!

Workout – Kick boxing Class was tonight. Not m1any takers to participate, people are afraid of the snow and ice around here.  I am not saying I am able to navigate it better just am not afraid of it!

Breakfast – Fried egg with sea salt and pepper.  Piece if turkey breast sliced on top. Green apple, very small.

Lunch – skipped it!!  Here I go with this mess again….my metabolism is not slow but this will surely slow it down!!

Dinner – Lettuce wraps with romaine lettuce and meat sauce from spaghetti. Half of a cucumber and sliced Roma tomato, with olive oil and cider vinegar, sea salt and pepper. A few almonds and raisins.

Day 43

Day 8 of Detox!! So Mother Nature sent us an ice and snow storm.  Make is very difficult to travel around here in this kind of weather. Most people do not know how to drive and the others that know how to get wrapped up with the ones that don’t.  I just stay at home on days like this to avoid mess.

Workout – None…weather got me down.  And the cold. But I am feeling better, just trapped in the crib dealing with Ole Man Snow.

Breakfast – Skipped it. Eating have been WAY OFF.  Especially to be detox-ing. I have not had any inflammatory foods just no appetite.  I have decided to wipe the slate clean and start a new!  What I have ingested has been phenomenal.  I am probably losing weight, not that I am trying to either!

Lunch – Cabbage with carrots and baked chicken wings. Water and detox tea….this meal was much better the the last few attempts at a meal I had!

Dinner – Not hungry but had almonds and a few raisins. Raisins have a ton of sugar, if you are trying to lose weight stay away from them! If you are just cleansing for wellness and to get rid of the old to make room for new clean supper-foods, then it is OK.  dried fruit in general is very sweet. When it dries out its sugar content/glycemic index rises. I had a little protein to slow down any sugar spike from the raisins.  It was lean turkey breast sliced.  No preservatives, hormones or antibiotics.

Day 37

Day 2 of detox!! Today was a better day…it was not as busy so I was able to be sure I made time for my meals.

Workout – Kick boxing class…high energy.  If it was not so late I would have gotten a recovery meal because of the level of intensity but its too late for more food.

Breakfast – Vegan protein shake, all the ingredients I normally use but light on the flax seeds.  flax is considered a healthy fat so while I I need this I want to go easy this month on the fat I add to my diet since it is fat that I want to lose and muscle I want to gain. I am also cutting out the walnuts in my shake for a while unless I know it will be longer in between mean and I need something more to satiate me.

Lunch – Bowl of collard greens cooked in smoked turkey.  A little of the turkey meat for protein and meat sauce from spaghetti without the noodle.  *Be careful with tomato sauce, there can be a ton of sugar in it.*

Dinner – Vegan protein shake CHOCOLATE!!!  MMMMM, yum. Tablespoon of almond butter and some cacao nibs. Very chocolate-y.  Cacao nibs is considered my fat, I added organic psyllium husk for fiber. Used 1/4 cup of coconut milk or less as well which is also a fat.  This will ensure I am not hungry through the  night. Cup of berry detox tea. Paleogreens in water.

Day 5

Hey there.  I am on a roll…don’t stop me now, LOL.  Here is another Graceful Indulgence TIP – To maximize your metabolism and burn more calories, implement interval training or speed burst into your work out.  This combined with resistance training will help you begin to see the results of the hard work you are putting in.  Don’t just rely on cardio, anything is better than nothing but ask yourself this….how has it been working for you? Are you getting the results you want?  If not then you absolutely need to switch it up.  Find a trainer and ask questions on what you can do to get the most out of your exercise regimen.

workout – Bow-Flex Tread-climber, interval training.  Stop and start for 32 minutes.  I go as fast as I can as hard as I can for as long as I can. Then I recover for however long it takes me to and start to crank it up again. FYI, it is ideal to get in a minimum of 8 speed burst.

Breakfast – Berry shake, vegan protein mix, walnuts, flax seeds, 30 fresh blueberries, 3/4 cup mixed berries, scoop of fiber. Yummy!  It was extra good today for some reason.  I saved some and drank it after my workout for a recovery meal. 20 oz water mixed with Paleogreen, couple sips of some mangosteen tea.

Lunch – 3 baked lemon pepper wing drumettes, whole can of Amy’s organic low sodium chunky tomato bisque soup, gluten free. 16 oz water. Medium honey crisp apple sliced with sea salt.

Dinner – Outback! House salad no croutons or cheese, oil & vinegar, ground pepper and sea salt. Hamburger medium well no bun, red onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, ketchup.  Steamed veggies broccoli, carrots, snap peas no oil, 1/2 brown bread! 1 Margarita on the rocks with salt and 1 skinny margarita at home.  I suppose you can see a reoccurring theme here.  My alcoholic beverage of choice is tequila.  I L.O.V.E. margarita’s.  If I can get a skinny one then so be it, if not oh well.

Day 3

Busy day today…made some great headway on my business venture by landing another location! I don’t want to be premature but this thing just may be big!  Announcement soon….

Workout – Zumba class, 1 hour – I was late so 50 minutes for  me, LOL.  This class is great though especially for a newbie, MOVE YOUR HIPS!

Breakfast – 3/4 of 22 oz Vegan protein shake, 20 fresh blueberries, 1/2 cup mixed berries, 5 frozen strawberries, scoop of fiber, 1/4 cup shopped walnuts, tablespoon flax seeds, 1/4 cup coconut milk, cup of filtered water.  Protein powder has chia seeds and is made pea, rice and hemp protein.  16 oz cup of brewed herb tea (cant remember what flavor), 18 0z cup water with 1/2 tablespoon of powered greens (Paleo).

Lunch – 12 oz hot chocolate made with all natural ingredients, raw cashews, palm sugar, agave (just a smidgen), cacao nibs, macha power, hot water, organic vanilla, coconut oil (a smidgen).  I was made fresh and was AWESOME! Remainder of the protein shake from earlier/breakfast, 1/2 baked chicken breast, 24 oz water.

Dinner – Mexican!! Took it easy today considering the damage I usually do.  3 fish tacos made on corn tortilla (no gluten), tilapia, pico de gallo made fresh (white onions, lettuce tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro), corn chips and fresh salsa that was hella spicy (I lost count but didn’t to too bad actually and  some queso.  I didn’t order queso and otherwise would have stayed away tonight but some one else got therefore I partook in a bit; I was doing great until this part!!  1/2 tablespoon Paleogreens in 18 oz water. Aaannnd the BIG finish…1 jumbo house margarita on the rocks with salt at the Mex spot AND two 1800 silver on the rocks w/ splash of lime juice and 1/2 rim salt at another spot.  You only live once, learn to GRACEFULLY INDULGE!!

HONESTY and full disclosure is my policy.  Guess I could put in a work out tomorrow, I usually take Thursdays off! Check me out tomorrow to see what happens; my intentions will be good, my actual outcome I am not so sure about but stay tuned….
